Để quét với AA, bạn vào mục Local protection > Scanner rồi chọn một trong các kiểu quét mà chương trình cung cấp sẵn rồi bấm F3 để tiến hành quét. Đặc biệt, AA cũng hỗ trợ quét Boot Record bằng cách vào menu Extras > Boot Record scan. Thử nghiệm quét ổ đĩa hệ thống sử dụng 6 GB với 95546 tập tin AA mất tổng cộng 7 phút để quét và chỉ dùng tối đa 20 MB RAM.
